Design and Innovation

With a group of approximately thirty enthusiastic designers, we work every day on creative and innovative display and packaging solutions to help make your product a sales success. In addition to designing creative displays and packaging for the market, we also invest in the development of innovative display and packaging solutions. We do this by means of our ‘innovative circle’, in which in twelve-month cycles we work on new packaging and display concepts with the goal of presenting a minimum of two new and unique designs to our customers each year during our annual innovation day.

Smurfit Kappa Zedek attaches great importance to innovation and is greatly encouraged and supported in these efforts by the Smurfit Kappa Group, of which Smurfit Kappa Zedek is part. For example, the ‘European Innovation Awards’ are held each year within the Smurfit Kappa Group, where all Smurfit Kappa branches are encouraged to present their most innovative packaging and/or display proposals to a jury of experts. This expert jury also includes customers.

Prizes are present for the best models in various categories.
In addition to the internal awards ceremony, Smurfit Kappa Zedek also regularly receives prizes at the POPAI Awards.
